There is great anticipation around here as viewers from all around the world prepare to meet the contestants of the just launched season, which was inaugurated by the show's host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

 

You may remember that yesterday saw the entrance of 12 new housemates into the Big Brother Naija house. Today, the last housemates will join us, for a total of 24 housemates.

 

The grand prize for this season, dubbed "The only way up," is worth N100 million, making it the largest prize for a single reality TV show on the continent. This is another instance of history being made.

 

This season's broadcast has a slight twist, as usual, because both sets of housemates have been sent to different areas of the Big Brother house.

 

When the show started yesterday, viewers argued with the producers about why the home appeared so emotional this season. We had no idea that that was all a part of the season's twist.
